Our Story
Our journey started as winegrowers for some of the Barossa’s most prestigious wineries before deciding to create premium wines in our own winery. Koop Creek Vineyard wines are made by husband and wife team Michael and Christina, with a philosophy to create hand crafted small batch wines telling the story of our vineyard through every unique vintage.
Koop Creek Vineyard is located in the beautiful rolling hills of Springton, in the southern end of Eden Valley. Springton has a rich viticultural history dating back to 1858 and is known for high quality wines and vineyards since the early days.
Our 8 hectare vineyard which sits at 420 metres above sea level has plantings of Riesling, Chardonnay, Grenache, Shiraz and Montepulciano resulting in wines with fine structure, bright acidity and elevated aromatics.
All of our grapes are grown using regenerative principles to produce the highest quality fruit whilst also giving back to the land. We do not use herbicides, systemic fungicides, pesticides or synthetic fertilisers. We make our own composts onsite utilising them through the vineyard as well as sowing cover crops to enhance our soil health. Our vines are hand pruned and our grapes are hand picked before making their way into our small onsite winery.
